September–October Chapter Stay, 7 Weeks in the Ardèche Valley

  • Sunday 30th August – Saturday 17th October 2027

HOME is a slower season in the valley.

A seven-week chapter built around rhythm, contribution, mentorship, and the gradual building of a real village.

Created for world schooling families who want more than activities and outings, HOME offers the continuity many families struggle to find while travelling — combining consistent learning rhythms for children with the stability parents need in order to properly work, rest, and live well over longer stays.

Daily Rythm

Over seven weeks, children help shape the village itself. They build dens and domes in the forest. Design maps, flags, and signage.

Create gathering spaces and story-led PlayStations. Cook over fires. Work on longer-term creative projects. Learn to collaborate across age groups. Take ownership of spaces and ideas. Projects are not rushed through in a morning and forgotten.

Children return to ideas over days and weeks. Mentors get to genuinely know the children. Children begin mentoring each other.
Confidence grows through contribution, responsibility, continuity, and belonging.

Morning Nature Club runs consistently across the week, giving parents dedicated time to work, rest, or focus while children spend their days inside a familiar and deeply relational learning environment guided by mentors who come to truly know them over time.

The Educational Difference

Throughout HOME, the village becomes both the classroom and the curriculum.

Older children especially begin stepping into more meaningful roles within the community — helping guide younger children, shaping projects, leading games, building spaces, and contributing to the wider rhythm of village life.

Wednesday Expeditions

Throughout HOME, the village becomes both the classroom and the curriculum.

Final Village Celebration

The season finishes with a final Village Celebration where children guide families through the world they’ve spent weeks building together:

and gathering spaces woven into the landscape itself. Not a performance. A village shaped by the children who lived inside it.

If it Resonates,
Let’s Speak.

Families arrive. They settle. Life unfolds together.
