Across four themed Festival Stays, families gather around daily Nature Club, seasonal food, and creative projects that slowly grow throughout the week.
Children forage wild garlic, plant seeds, build the Village Canopy,
make flags and symbols, learn original songs, and spend long days moving between woodland play, making spaces, gardens, and shared rituals.

Children gather with songs, movement, games, storytelling, and hands-on seasonal projects before moving outward into the landscape and the day’s making.

One group may be planting the first vegetables in the gardens. Another could be weaving banners for the Spring Celebration, baking over fires, building woodland structures, or crafting symbols and lanterns beneath the trees.
Afternoons soften into family workshops, river walks, sketchbooks, loose parts play, shared meals, and slow conversations while the village gradually comes back to life around them.

Village Celebration & Shared Feast

The week finishes with the Village Celebration — a spring gathering of music, storytelling, handmade creations, seasonal food, and firelight that marks the return of warmth, creativity, and connection in the valley.
April in the Ardèche still carries traces of winter. Days can be beautifully warm in the sun, while mornings and evenings remain cooler and slower. Fires stay lit across the site. Layers come on and off throughout the day. The old silk mill holds onto its spring atmosphere — part awakening, part retreat.
