A summer of river swims, firelight, barefoot evenings, costume-making, music drifting through the trees, and children disappearing into play for hours at a time. Rebel Roots is our seasonal story at ReCreation. Part family stay. Part village gathering. Part carefully crafted summer rhythm designed to help families slow down and reconnect.

Ideal For Families Seeking

  • A hosted family summer experience
  • Nature-rich days and shared evening rituals
  • Creativity, music, and village life
  • Less pressure, less screen time, and more connection

Daily Rhythm

Each week is shaped by our team of mentors, artists, musicians, gardeners, natural chefs, and hosts — people who understand how to create the conditions for children to feel safe enough to play, create, explore, and belong.

Mornings begin down by the river and inside Nature Club. Children gather with songs, games, movement, seasonal rituals, and hands-on projects before heading into the day’s making. One group might be building bamboo water systems beside the river. Another could be dyeing fabrics for wearable

costumes, creating recipe zines for Rebel Bars, gathering herbs for teas and remedies, or rehearsing spoken word and music for the Friday Village Celebration. The week is designed to balance freedom with structure. Energy with calm. Creativity with rest. There’s a reason children settle here so quickly. The days have shape. The village holds them.

The Shift

By Friday evening, something has usually shifted. Children who arrived shy are suddenly singing with confidence.

Parents who barely knew each other on Sunday are sharing stories over candlelight. Songs become inside jokes. Costumes and banners appear from workshop tables and apartment floors.

The village starts to feel real. And the Friday celebration isn’t about performance. It’s about children sharing what they’ve genuinely lived and created during the week.

If it Resonates,
Let’s Speak.

Families arrive. They settle. Life unfolds together.
